It is finally out, Windows Vista Release Candidate 1.

If you are a vivid Vista fan then you would have expressed delight at the latest news that made waves on the weekend.

 

Microsoft released the latest build of Vista, Release Candidate 1 and its build number is 5600-16384. This build has been released to the internal beta testers and will be available to other channels shortly.

 

The release of Release Candidate 1 follows with a letter from Jim Allchin, Co-President of Windows Platform. The contents of the letter can be read here.

 

Also ATI and nVidia have released their beta drivers for this build 5600-16384. Note that the beta drivers will work uniquely only for this Release Candidate build and not the other builds. To download the beta drivers please visit the respective vendor’s website.
